Ultrastrike Price Discovery

Nerf guns are great replacements for more dangerous (and more painful) paintball guns. They’re cheap, colourful, moddable, and fun to use. Some people, however, don’t like using Nerf guns because of their strange form factors and bulkiness. The Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 is Nerf’s response.

In this Nerf N-Strike Longstrike Review, we’ll talk about the things you can expect should you decide to purchase a Longstrike and therefore see for yourself whether or not the Longstrike is for you.

The Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6

The Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6, instead of taking on the usual eccentric form factors of most Nerf guns, takes on a more traditional look inspired by the familiar rifle. It’s known for being one of the longest Nerf blasters to date made specifically for long-range targeting. Compared to its bulkier counterparts, the Longstrike comes in a relatively lightweight and compact form factor that allows one to run around and choose between rushing toward the opponent or hiding in a distant place and waiting for an ambush. In the next sections of this Nerf Longstrike review, we’ll get into more aspects of the gun in more detail.

The Longstrike does not require batteries or any special contraption; it works using the typical pump and trigger mechanism and will therefore only emit the typical clicks and squeaks one would expect from a plastic device. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find a review about the Nerf CS-6 Longstrike that complained about the noise that the Longstrike makes.

Firing Rate

Since the Longstrike was made specifically for long range shooting, you really can’t expect a rapid-fire option to be available, especially in such a thin form factor. That being said, you only get single-fire mode and are therefore stuck with firing at about 1 dart per second. In most cases, however, the Longstrike really shines in outdoor Nerf wars, which would reduce the need for close range rapid-fire shooting anyway. In fact, most of the reviews about the Nerf Longstrike CS-6 won’t really lament over the low firing rate particularly because it wasn’t meant to do close-range ambush anyway.

The name ‘Longstrike’ should already give you a pretty good idea about the range of this Nerf gun. With the barrel extension, it reportedly goes from 30-40 feet, with mods allowing it to go all the way up to 60 feet! This makes the Longstrike perfect for Nerf wars in large fields where one could hide and shoot your opponents without even getting seen. To date, the Longstrike is one of the Nerf guns with the largest range, with its minimum range not even hitting 20 feet.

The iron sight that was advertised isn’t particularly useful. In most cases, it feels more like an aesthetic add-on than a functional one. It is, however, lightweight, easy to use (simple pump and trigger system), and aerodynamically thin enough to run around with in hectic Nerf wars.Nerf-N-Strike-Longstrike-CS-6-Box

Build Quality

The Longstrike is one of the best-looking Nerf guns, especially for people who prefer the traditional gun look over the sci-fi gun look. Aesthetics don’t overshadow its build quality, though; it’ll survive accidental drops and bumps, but of course, being a plastic device, don’t expect it to win against too much friction and heat.

The Nerf N-Strike Longstrike CS-6 is well received by people who prefer range over firing speed and mobility over bulk. Since this unit has been discontinued at most shops, however, you may have some trouble locating places to purchase one. Sites like Amazon would be one of your guaranteed places to grab this model, as they are one of the best places who stock models like these. For a well-made long range Nerf gun, this product’s features definitely live up to its rifle-like appearance while exceeding your expectations based on its price.
